Who we are

Hi. I am Jinseop Song, the founder of Tamats. I want to tell you why this product exists, in my own words, because the reason is personal rather than a market analysis.

Growing up around the industry

I grew up in South Korea, watching the beauty industry up close. K-beauty is one of the most creative and fast moving industries anywhere in the world. From the outside it can look effortless, a steady stream of clever products and beautiful launches that seem to appear on their own. From the inside, I learned early, it is anything but effortless.

What looked easy from the outside

The finished products hide an enormous amount of invisible labor. What reaches a shelf is the last five percent of the work. The other ninety five percent, the research, the reformulating, the checking and rechecking, the chasing of partners, never shows up in the launch. As a kid and then as a young adult paying attention, I slowly understood that the magic I admired was built on top of a mountain of unglamorous, exhausting effort.

The people behind it

I watched small brands and the people around them do genuinely remarkable work. I also watched them fight the same quiet problems over and over, year after year, in ways that had nothing to do with how good their ideas were. The talent was never the bottleneck. The operational grind was.

The pain points I kept seeing

Some of these problems were so common that people had stopped noticing them. They had simply accepted that this was how the work goes, the way you accept weather.

Research scattered everywhere

The knowledge needed to make one good product was spread across a dozen tools and a hundred browser tabs. Nobody could hold the whole picture at once, so decisions got made on fragments and then quietly corrected later, at cost.

Compliance that shifts under your feet

The rules differ in every country, and they change without warning. A formula that is perfectly fine in one market can be a problem in another, and keeping up with all of it by hand is a full-time job that most small teams simply cannot staff. I watched people discover a regulatory problem far too late in the process, after real money had already been spent.

By the time a team had manually noticed a trend, read enough posts to trust it, and acted, the moment had often already moved on. The people with the smallest teams were the least able to keep up, even though they were frequently the most creative and the most deserving of the win.

Finding the right partners and voices

Finding the right manufacturer, or the right influencer for a launch, meant weeks of manual searching. It was slow, it was tedious, and it rewarded whoever had the most spare time rather than whoever had the best product. That never sat right with me.

Most of this work is invisible. It never appears in a case study or a founder interview. But it wears teams down long before their ideas ever reach a shelf, and it quietly decides which brands still have the energy left to succeed.

Why I decided to build something

I did not want to keep accepting that this was simply how it worked. Accepting it felt like agreeing that good ideas deserve to lose to logistics, and I do not believe that.

The tool I wished existed

So I decided to build the tool I wished those teams had. One workspace for the whole process, from early discovery through formulation, compliance, and distribution. An AI system that takes on the slow, repetitive, at-scale parts of the job, the reading and searching and cross-checking, so people can spend their time on the parts that genuinely need a human being.

Affordable on purpose

There is one more thing that mattered to me, and it shaped the entire product. I wanted this to be affordable. Powerful tools should not be reserved for the companies with the biggest budgets. The small brand with a great idea and a tiny team is exactly the kind of team I built this for, and pricing it out of their reach would have defeated the whole point of building it.

Why Tamats exists

That is the honest reason Tamats exists. I saw talented people held back by problems that software could actually solve, and I decided to solve them at a price real teams can afford. Not to chase the largest customers, but to help the ones who reminded me of the people I grew up watching.

If any of this sounds familiar, if you have felt these pain points yourself, or recognized them just now while reading this, I would genuinely like to hear from you. You can reach me and the team directly at team@tamats.org, and I read what comes in.
